Meet our Founder...
I’m Saira, a single parent to 3 incredible neurodivergent boys, partner to a wonderfully supportive man, a qualified primary school teacher and a trained physiotherapist.
My journey with neurodiversity has been anything but easy. After my ADHD diagnosis a few years ago, my entire mindset shifted. Suddenly, so much of my past made sense—the struggles, the burnout, the overwhelm. What followed was a whirlwind of self-discovery, challenges and growth.
During this time, I: navigated divorce and single parenthood; fought for my children’s school accommodations; worked multiple jobs while building a business; dealt with the emotional and logistical chaos that comes with raising ND children; and experienced burnout, brain fog, anxiety and all the physical tolls that stress brings.
But through it all, one thing became clear - there wasn’t enough support for families like ours. That’s why I created The Harbour Community - a safe, welcoming online space where ND parents and caregivers can find support, connection and education.
I know firsthand how isolating and exhausting this journey can be. I also know how powerful community is when you find people who truly get it. My dream is for The Harbour to grow into a thriving hub that supports families in every way possible - offering advocacy, resources and a space where you can be unapologetically yourself.
If you’ve made it this far - thank you! Your support means the world. Please explore The Harbour, connect with us on Instagram and help spread the word. Every like, share and comment helps us reach more families who need this space.
Together, we’re stronger. Welcome to The Harbour.
