Home. It's our haven, our safe place and the backdrop to so many of our family's memories. But for our neurodivergent children, "home" can sometimes feel overwhelming.
Creating a neurodivergent-affirming home isn't about grand gestures or expensive renovations. It's about small, thoughtful changes that make a big difference. It's about creating a space where our children feel understood, accepted and truly at ease.
Think about sensory sensitivities. Think about clear routines and predictable environments. Think about celebrating their unique strengths and needs. It's about building a sanctuary, a safe space where they can be their authentic selves.
